Egypt has called on the international community to hold President of the Turkish regime Recep Tayyip Erdogan accountable for his crimes, particularly supporting terrorism in Syria and the region and providing terrorists with the arms and safe shelter in a flagrant violation of the Security Council’s resolutions , as well as his crimes against his people,ANF reported.
Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ahmed Hafez, strongly slammed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan about Egypt during an event in New York.

The spokesperson condemned Erdogan’s remarks as a desperate attempt to divert attention away from his regime’s deteriorated popularity and his latest domestic and international defeats.
The following facts represent undisputed evidence of Erdogan’s allegations absurdity, as the violations committed by his regime are not hidden anymore, noted Hafez.
1-There are more than 75,000 opinion and political prisoners in Turkey who include civilian and military people, this is why Turkey is witnessing a surge in building prisons.
2-Scores prisoners died due to dubious circumstances, torture, and illness as a result of the maltreatment inside Turkish prisons.
3-More than 130,000 government employees were arbitrarily fired.
4-Thousands of academics were fired and more than 3000 universities, schools, and educational institutions were closed.

The statement mentioned Erdogan’s sponsorship of terrorism in the different countries in the region such as Syria, and how he turned his country into a haven for extremist and outlawed terrorist groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood.
