The co-chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), Aisha Hasso, stressed that the Kurds need to step up the level of their struggle and to be one force to address the threats by achieving unity and national unity with other components.
Hasso started by talking to the PYD newspaper about the Kurdish national unity, pointing to the division in the Kurdish rank and the rift between its parties.
The threat posed on Rojava and by Turkey which spares no effort in directing its threats to the Kurds, calls for national unity that will protect the Kurds and their regions.
She added: “The KNK has a great effort in this to fix this rift and bring the Kurds into the four parts and each part separately, and in this regard, a conference to unite the Kurdish parties in Rojava was held to form a dam against all risks and protect the gains in Rojava.”
Regarding their role in unifying the Kurdish rank, Hasso said: “We, as a political party struggling in Rojava and abroad, to unify the Kurdish rank as our primary task, and we have always called on all parties to the unity that is in the best interest of the Kurdish people in Rojava of Kurdistan.”
Hasso stressed the importance of the Kurdish vigilance and said: “Because we are fully aware of the Turkish agendas that seek to achieve their ambitions and try in various ways to support the rift in the Kurdish body and divide it, after the occupation of Afrin the Turkish ambitions in the regions became clear which tried to eliminate the Kurds, implement the demographic change and target the Kurds.”
Aisha conclude by saying, “the enemies of the Kurds have always considered the Kurds as second-class and did not recognize them, to put an end to these policies and violations against the Kurds , we have to embrace and apply the democratic nation concept.”
