On August 27, PYD held an expanded meeting for the people of the Eastern Part in al-Hasakah Canton to talk about the political situation, in addition to reading the decisions and political directives issued by the Party’s General Council.
The meeting started by holding a minute of silence to pay tribute to the martyrs’ lives. Abdul Karim Sarukhan, the co-chair of the party’s organizational office, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees and said that the party played a prominent role in the struggle and confronting the terrorism, in addition to organizing the ranks of the masses and all segments of society, he added: Kurdish and Arab parties and civil institutions played a key role in building Democratic Autonomous Administration.
Sarukhan touched upon the latest political developments taking place in Syria in general, and northern and eastern Syria in particular.
In turn, Hussein Berri, the administrative in al-Hasakah region talked about the organizational situation and its importance in the development of society in all its aspects, and then read the political directives issued by the General Council of the party.
At the end of the meeting views and discussions were exchanged, and the questions raised by the audience were answered by the Diwan Committee.
